Measuring Ocean
- Technical Lifeform
The Technical Lifeform is a sensor kit that measures various oceanic water quality parameters for scientific research.
Iteration
Working closely with the researchers and engineers at Geomar, this project aims to create a structurally and aesthetically improved version of the current sensor kit.
The first significant feature that differentiates the Technical Lifeform from its predecessor is the opening on the front, which provides an interesting view of the working sensors. A two-deck structure separates the electronic components from the water circulation components, keeping the electronics dry. Thirdly, a reliable dock is designed to ensure the device can hold its ground firmly even during extreme turbulence.
In Exhibition
The design was exhibited at SPCE, Kiel, in February 2025.
